A mesmerized audience in Berlin

November 5, 2017 by Michael

Last night my wife, her cousin and I were out at the Bar Jeder Vernunft in Berlin. It is a pretty unique place for performing arts, mostly the comedy, cabaret and chanson type. Together with the culinary specialities offered there it is perfect for a fun evening with friends and family. On stage this time were the Geschwister Pfister who in their new show invited us into their garden of a Heuriger in Vienna.

While the place itself – a tent with mirrors all over the place – is interesting for the light and reflection in creates, it was more the audience that caught my attention. Mesmerized by the performance they were following the actors on stage, banned by the sentimentality of the Viennese songs transported by an excellent team of comedians and musicians.

So I was happy I had brought my camera to catch a few of these moments. While none of the actors are in the photographs, they still show that something special was going on. For me this is what creates the special athmosphere of the theatre – the interaction of performer and audience.
